Gardening Zones

The topography of the earth in the United States is divided into different gardening zones on the basis of the hardness of the soil, the climatic conditions and the kind of soil suitable for a particular type of gardening. Every gardener must understand the hardiness zone of the garden and develop the garden accordingly. The gardening zones are specifically defined areas according to their geographical conditions. Every gardening zone cultivates and farms the special category of flowers, plants, fruits and trees, that are determined by the climatic conditions and which are capable to withstand differing temperatures. Texas gardening is different in many ways is different to Maine gardening as the states belong to different gardening zones. Texas belongs to the gardening zone 9 where you can grow plants that thrive in the mild winters whereas Maine belongs to the gardening zone 6, where you can grow plants that can withstand the warm-weather and the cold-weather. Therefore with respect to the difference in their gardening zone, the kind of gardening done or the products that are cultivated, and the seasonal plants, flowers fruits are all cultivated differently. The United States Department of Agriculture abbreviated as USDA, has developed the division of the gardening zones and today a large number of countries have adopted the concept.
